Christian Kuehn

Previous Job Experience

I was involved from the beginning at the workshop called Hands on HD at Hannover.

In 10 years, we could test every year several cine cameras and the data workflow in the postproduction. Starting with Sony hdw-f900, till the Sony F65 at 2012 (which is still a very good camera – 16 bit, 4K, ect.) I learned a lot about camera-sensors, cine-lenses, hard-drives, on set-workflow, systematization, camera settings, signal integrity and image manipulation to achieve the highest image quality and creative goals of cinematography in the digital realm.

Besides of the workshop, I'm visited from 2001 till 2017 every IBC at Amsterdam. Sometimes I worked at the booth for Codex, Solectrix or SonoVTS or I just visited the fair.

In the time, I worked for Chroma Media GmbH & Co. KG, the company bought a Sony F35, a Sony F23 & two Sony PMW-F3. Chroma had their own 4K 3D cinema with a Sony projector (Sony SRX-R320SP/P 4K) and a Nucoda Grading System.

In this years, I had the opportunity to work with the Sony F55 and filmed with new X-CON codec. In the next CineAlta newspaper, there will be an article about it.
