An overview of high definition
The course starts with describing the essentials of high definition video.
The HDC-1700, HDC-1500 and HDC-1000 use a fibre ‘triax’ to connect to the system. Greater care must be taken with this cable than normal copper triax and this section covers guidance for reliable operation.
Controls, connections and basic operation
Explaining all the external controls and how to operate them correctly
The menu system
Providing an overview of the camera menus explaining the different modes of menu access what each menu does and when it should be used.
A comprehensive description of menus is not covered in this course. The ‘vision control’ course covers this. However, for those cameramen who on occasions need to operate the camera remote control (RCP-750 etc) a brief guide to important procedures in included.
HDLA Large lens adapter
This part of the course shows how to use the HDC‑1500 on the large lens adapter.
Shooting in HD
The final part of the course covers hints and tips regarding shooting in HD.
