What will you learn

You will learn how to operate, set-up and adjust the look of the HDC-P1 High definition camera system, including the Master Setup Unit and Remote Control Panel (MSU/RCP) remote control system. At the conclusion of the course you will be able to set the camera to the required look using camera menus, RCP control and files as appropriate.

Who should attend

This course is designed for those with a good knowledge of television engineering and production processes with some knowledge or experience of cameras, wishing to operate vision control of the HDC-P1 camera channel. If required this course can be run as a half-day course so that two groups of staff can be trained in one day. This achieved by focussing on the most important parts of the training and omitting aspects such as the camera menu operation.

Course contents

An introduction to high definition

If required, an introduction to high definition and the different modes of operation can be included for those delegates unfamiliar with HD.

Systems overview

This part of the course also describes the interconnection of the camera system, the different options and configurations.

HDC-P1 operation

The HDC-P1 is not a conventional studio camera, and is intended for fixed positioning or remote control use. This part of the course looks at the various features and benefits of the camera, and how it can be effectively used in a remote control scenario.

RCP operation

A comprehensive description of RCP operation and menus and how they are used for both engineering adjustment and aesthetic control is covered in this section.

MSU Operation

The MSU is used to both adjust the look of the picture and configure the system. Much of the control is similar to RCP control so this section focuses on the difference in menu structure and those facilities not available from the RCP.

Courses can be run at various locations. Courses must have a minimum number of attendees in order to run. To discuss the exact location and times available please click ‘Enquire Now’ at the top of the page.
